Final Fantasy Tactics: The Ivalice Chronicles Launches September 30 On THESE Platforms

Square Enix has officially announced the return of its tactical RPG classic, Final Fantasy Tactics, with a new edition titled Final Fantasy Tactics: The Ivalice Chronicles. Set to release on September 30, 2025, the game will be available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC via Steam and Steam Deck .

This edition offers two distinct modes: an enhanced version featuring fully voiced dialogue, updated graphics, an optimized user interface, and a new “Squire” difficulty setting for newcomers; and a classic version that preserves the original 1997 gameplay with the acclaimed War of the Lions translation and added conveniences like auto-save .
