Microsoft is continuing to work on the Your Phone, and an investigation of the code in the latest version, which introduced Android screen mirroring, has revealed a number of otherĀ features Microsoft is planning to implement.
Uncovered by hacker Albacore, he revealed that Microsoft is planning to allow you to filter notifications by app, browse the contacts in your phone and make phone calls directly from the desktop and also make phone calls using a dial pad. The app will also be able to monitor the battery level of your phone.
He also discovered that, despite the short list of Samsung Galaxy phones supported by the trial, the screen mirroring feature actually worked with many AndroidĀ phones already.
Is the Galaxy S8/S9 limitation for Your Phone mirroring entirely artificial? The answer is: Yes!

While all these improvements are very significant, those of our readers who are using Screenovate’s Dell Mobile Connect app will know it still falls short of the great features in that app, but hopefully, Microsoft will eventually catch up and surpass that 3rd party client.
