On February 24, 2026, DigixArt will release Tides of Tomorrow on PlayStation 5, introducing a fresh take on multiplayer storytelling. Set in a post-apocalyptic ocean world, players assume the role of Tidewalkers – individuals afflicted by Plastemia, a disease stemming from microplastic pollution. The mission: find a cure and navigate a world reshaped by environmental catastrophe.

The game’s standout feature is its asynchronous multiplayer system. At the start, players choose someone to “follow” – be it a friend, stranger, or streamer. This choice influences the game’s narrative, as players encounter “ghosts” of their predecessor’s decisions, affecting interactions with non-playable characters and the environment.

Other recent gaming news –

For instance, if the previous player antagonized a character, that character may react hostilely in the current player’s game. This mechanic ensures that each playthrough is unique, shaped by a combination of past and present choices.

DigixArt, known for Road 96, aims to push the boundaries of narrative gaming. Game Director Adrien Poncet emphasized the desire to let players genuinely influence each other’s stories through their decisions.

Players can expect a blend of exploration, decision-making, and moral dilemmas, all set against the backdrop of a world grappling with the consequences of environmental neglect. As players progress, they leave behind a legacy that will impact those who follow.

Tides of Tomorrow promises to offer a compelling experience where every choice matters, not just for the player but for the community at large.
