Samsung’s One UI has been released to testers, and while it has been well received – the firm’s beta test may have a hint about what it plans for its next flagship.
XDA shared a screenshot which was included as part of Samsung’s One UI beta feedback survey. The image contained a status bar with icons which would typically sit on the right side of the screen shifted inwards, indicating the presence of a hole in the display.

Samsung’s Galaxy S10 is rumoured to come with a right-justified screen hole on its New Infinity screen (seen above.) While the existence of Samsung’s Infinity displays is no secret, the firm tends to use its flagship smartphones as a template for screenshots. This screenshot now adds a layer of credibility to the leaked render from earlier.
The notch had been standard fare for Android flagships this year after Apple adopted the controversial space saving method on its iPhone X in 2017.
With the Galaxy A8s and the Huawei Nova 4, the notch may just be about to become a relic of the past.Â
