Everything is saved, so you no longer need to leave the platform to do your work. Click the library icon on the left pane, and it’s right there.
It functions similarly to Paperguide AI, though the latter lacks a full library feature.

The next step is to summarize your sources and get key takeaways to make the information more digestible.
You can click on the default prompts or ask the chatbot other things about the doc.
I used the summarize prompt and got ten bullets with headings:

Ryne AI offers a similar feature. Likewise, Paperguide can summarize and chat with documents. All Otio lacks is Paperguide’s automatic data extraction and academic references manager.

Otio’s text editor allows you to write your work within the platform. No more word processor limitations.
What’s more, because it saves all your content and chat history, you can easily process it to generate to-do lists, AI essays, papers, and more.
It’s a rich text editor, so you can format your work any way you see fit. It also provides a list of commands for quick formatting and AI features.
It includes everything from fixing grammar and improving clarity to writing introductions and conclusions.
Ultimately, for an AI text editor, there isn’t anything I can think of that’s missing. It works well, but it doesn’t stand out from other platforms.
However, Otio also includes AI image generation. You can add relevant images without “borrowing” something from the web. I haven’t seen this with other tools in this space.
Workflows
Unlike Paperguide, Otio has extensive workflow automation capabilities. This lets you manage research and other tasks more efficiently, so you can focus on more meaningful work.

I found it easy to use, with an interactive workflow chart on the left. You can also chat with Otio to fine-tune how you want the workflow to function.
How To Use Otio AI
To get started with the platform, follow these steps:
1. Go to Otio.ai and click the Get started for free button.
2. Select why you’re using Otio, such as work or personal use (this doesn’t alter the features).
3. From the dashboard, you can upload a file or paste a link to work with. This will open the chat.
4. At the bottom, you can also use the camera icon to take a screenshot to use as a source file.
5. Use the Summarize or Takeaways prompts to condense your document, link, or screenshot.
6. Alternatively, ask the chatbot a question or use the web icon at the bottom to pull more info from the web.
7. Access your library of documents by clicking the Library tab on the left pane.
8. Alternatively, you can organize your work into folders by clicking the Add button and choosing Folder. Here you can add content already in your library or upload new files.
9. To access the AI text editor, click the Add button in the top left and choose Note.
10. To create a workflow, click the Workflows tab on the left pane.
11. At any stage, you can click the Chat icon to interact with the chatbot regarding your current task.
12. To change the AI model, click AI settings in the left pane, though some are reserved for the Max plan.
