Microsoft is expected to announce an upgraded range of Surface Laptop and Surface Pro devices at their October 2nd event.
With the price of flagship electronics generally increasing (think iPhone XR and Samsung Galaxy Note 9) Surface fans may have started worrying about their wallets.
The good news if you are planning to upgrade your Surface this holiday season is that Microsoft is expected to keep prices in line with the launch price of the same devices last year.
This is according to Winfuture’s Roland Quandt, who tweeted:
About Microsoft's hardware event on Oct 2: expect Surface Pro 6 and Surface Laptop 2. At the same prices as before, with updated hardware. And likely nothing else.

Earlier leaks have shown the main improvement to the Surface Laptop 2 is a new generation of processors and different colours, while the Surface Pro 6 also gets updated internals and a softer design.
It appears in turn for the stable price, we are unfortunately not expecting any major innovations, with 2019 being rumoured as the date for the real update.
