Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls Brings 4v4 Chaos to PS5 and PC in 2026

On June 4, 2025, during Sony’s State of Play, Marvel Games and Arc System Works unveiled Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls, a 4v4 tag-team fighting game set to launch in 2026 on PlayStation 5, Steam, and the Epic Games Store.

This title marks Marvel’s departure from its long-standing collaboration with Capcom, introducing a fresh partnership with Arc System Works, renowned for titles like Guilty Gear and Dragon Ball FighterZ. The game features anime-inspired visuals, reimagining iconic characters such as Iron Man, Spider-Man, Storm, and Doctor Doom in high-octane battles.

Fighting Souls introduces a novel 4v4 tag system, allowing players to control one primary fighter while summoning three assist characters for support or combo attacks. This approach aims to simplify team-based combat, enabling players to focus on mastering a single character without compromising strategic depth.

Early design phases experimented with Western comic-book aesthetics, but Marvel encouraged a shift towards Arc’s signature anime style, resulting in a unique visual presentation.
