Mafia: The Old Country is set to launch on August 8, 2025, bringing a focused, narrative-driven experience to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Developed by Hangar 13 and published by 2K, this prequel to the original Mafia series transports players to early 1900s Sicily, exploring the origins of organized crime through the eyes of Enzo Favara, a young man rising within Don Torrisi’s crime family.

Departing from the open-world approach of its predecessor, Mafia III, The Old Country offers a linear storyline emphasizing historical authenticity and emotional depth. Players will engage in stealth, hand-to-hand combat, and strategic gunfights, all while navigating the challenges of a bygone era. The game features period-appropriate weaponry and vehicles, including vintage motorcars and horseback travel, enhancing the immersive experience.

Built on Unreal Engine 5, the game showcases detailed environments and lifelike character animations. Notably, it includes full voice acting in Sicilian, underscoring the developers’ commitment to authenticity. Mafia: The Old Country will be available in two editions. This includes a Standard Edition priced at $49.99 and a Deluxe Edition at $59.99, which includes additional in-game content.
