Twitter has launched a new app for testingĀ out its proposed new features.
Known as twttr, the new social messaging app is the firm’s attempt to reach out to its most engagedĀ users and work to build a Twitter via committee. A sort of Insider program for Twitter if you will.
The first features the app will be testing out are a more overhauled version of tweet threads, where each entry looks more like a typical text message DM than anything.
Our prototype app, twttr, launches to the first group of participants today. #LetsHaveAConvo about new features to build a better Twitter together.

Twitter’s beta app is only available on iOS for now, and users may have to wait for up to a month to get a response. Not everyone will be accepted on the program, so you’ll need to have your fingers crossed if you want in.
