Microsoft Ventures invests in Comfy

Comfy (aka Building Robotics Inc.) has raised $12 million in a Series B funding led by Emergence Capital. Alongside Emergence Capital and CBRE Group, Microsoft Ventures has also invested in Comfy today. Nagraj Kashyap, the Corporate Vice President of Microsoft Ventures stated:

“Our investment in Comfy represents one of the many ways we support innovation that improves productivity. With Comfy, employees are able to seamlessly control their physical environment and immediately improve productivity in the workplace.”

For those who don’t know, Microsoft announced its corporate venture group just about a week ago, and the company has already invested in three startups: CrowdFlower, Helpshift, and now Comfy. It will be interesting to see which companies Microsoft will invest in next – however, in the coming weeks, the company will be quite busy investing in some of the most interesting startups.
