Whiteboard New Toolbar is coming up to Microsoft Whiteboard in Teams later this month, and the Redmond-based tech giant designed it with mobile devices in mind. According to Microsoft, Whiteboard should allow for much better discovery and accessibility when it comes to expediting content creation.
The Whiteboard chrome has undergone a visual refresh, surfacing key content creation tools such as notes, reactions, comments, text & shapes more prominently, empowering educators & students with higher ease of discovery & accessibility for expediting content creation.
The Whiteboard New Toolbar is now placed at the bottom of the screen, allowing for much more space, especially if you’re using the platform on small devices, such as your phone, or a tablet.
What other features are coming to Whiteboard?
Microsoft has also unveiled other exciting features coming to Microsoft Whiteboard in late August, and September.
For example, you’ll be able to create Loop components in Whiteboard. These Loop components, such as a table, list of tasks or even a paragraph, will then be available to everyone on the Whiteboard to see. The feature will greatly enhance collaboration and it’s coming in September to all customers.
Later this month, Whiteboard will also get new templates from which you can choose to a blank board. You’ll have a lot of options to choose from, each suited for a certain kind of activity, such as a brainstorming session.
Finally, more reactions are coming to Whiteboard as well. And you, your workmates, or your students, will be able to use much more reaction emojis to express your opinions and emotions.
