Ah, the PlayStation Classic, what you could have been! Alas, competent miniature technology collectibles with a solid library of games are exclusive to Nintendo this generation. With that said, you can still be given away for free!

While many are finding the mini console at their local retailers for just $30 CAD in some areas, the PlayStation Classic is being given away for free throughout numerous stores and promotions.

Firstly, mobile provider EE is casting off the collectible tat when you sign up for a SIM only contract. Any offer that’s £12 p/m will make you the proud (?) owner of this not-so-saught-after device.

If you’re a resident of Kuwait (or you really like expensive import charges) then the PS Classic is bundled with a PS4 console courtesy of X-Cite. While it sounds like a great idea, you do also have the option of picking up a spare DualShock 4 controller instead. Nevertheless, this is probably a great way to pick up the PS Classic if you ever wanted one.

While it released at $89.99 US, the PlayStation Classic has seen a sharp reduction in its retail pricing. Is this because of its poor emulation? Is it because it is easily exploitable? Hey, maybe it’s because of its disappointing game library.
