Microsoft Surface Go 4

As expected, Microsoft today announced Surface Go 4, its most portable Surface 2-in-1 device. Unfortunately, the new Surface Go 4 will be available exclusively for enterprise and education customers starting this fall.

The new Surface Go 4 runs on Windows 11 and delivers up to 4.5 times more performance than the original Surface Go, with a longer 12.5-hour battery life.

The Surface Go 4 is powered by the Intel Processor N200, a new entry-level mobile processor from the Alder Lake-N series that was announced in early 2023. The Intel N200 has four cores and can reach up to 3.7 GHz of clock speed, which should provide a noticeable boost in performance compared to the Intel Pentium Gold 6500Y processor that was used in Surface Go 2019.

The Surface Go 4 (2023) will also come with more RAM and storage options than before. The base model will have 8GB of RAM and 64GB of storage, while the higher-end models will have 128GB or 256GB of storage.

Surface Go 4 comes with integrated NFC that can be accessed securely and easily with a compatible NFC security key, like a YubiKey.
