Instacart rolled out a big update to its Copilot app. Users can now order groceries directly from recipes. The feature automatically turns any recipe into a shopping list and connects it to Instacart’s delivery system.

Once you find a recipe in the app, Copilot builds the list for you. It removes guesswork and cuts down time. Instead of switching between tabs or apps, you can go from meal idea to scheduled delivery in a few taps.

This isn’t Instacart’s first attempt at convenience, but it may be the most direct. Copilot aims at the user who wants to skip the usual scroll through aisles, cart management, or last-minute store runs.

Instacart integrated the feature into the main Copilot experience, so you don’t need to download anything new. The complete process works in real-time, starting from finding a dish, approving the list, and placing the order.

Grocery apps keep pushing for tighter workflows, and this is Instacart’s clearest move yet. The update isn’t flashy, but it’s sharp: fewer taps, fewer screens, fewer reasons to skip meals because shopping takes too long. Instacart says this Copilot update is now live for all users across supported markets.
