FromSoftware released Patch 1.01.1 for Elden Ring: Nightreign, addressing solo play challenges. The update introduces an “Automatic Revival Upon Defeat” feature, allowing solo players a one-time revival during night boss battles. Additionally, solo players now earn increased rune rewards, aiming to balance the experience for those venturing alone.

Despite these improvements, players continue to report significant matchmaking issues. Many experience prolonged wait times or failed connections unless queuing with a full three-player team. FromSoftware has acknowledged the problem, suggesting restarts or NAT adjustments, but these solutions have proven ineffective for many.

The absence of a two-player co-op mode remains a point of contention. Players seeking duos must either team up with a random third player or resort to community-created mods like Yui’s Seamless Co-op.

While the patch addresses some solo play concerns, the broader multiplayer experience still requires attention. Players hope for future updates to resolve these lingering issues and enhance the overall gameplay experience.
