Elden Ring: Nightreign hits PlayStation 5 on May 30, and it brings a co-op spin to FromSoftware’s brutal formula. You’ll form teams of three to take down terrifying Nightlords, but first, you’ll need to pick a class, and that choice will shape your entire run.
You start with six classes. Wylder is your melee generalist with a grappling hook and a shield-saving revive perk. Guardian plays tank, armed with a halberd and a healing ultimate that revives allies. Ironeye stays back with a bow, tagging enemies for bonus loot and using piercing shots that ignore armor.
Raider brawls up close, absorbing damage and dishing it back with counterattacks. Recluse is the spellcaster, blending elemental effects for support or offense, but she’s fragile. The Executor leans into risk-reward, dealing status damage and transforming into a beast when cornered.
You’ll unlock two more classes later: Duchess and Revenant. Each run lets you switch classes, so experiment as much as you want. Just don’t expect an easy ride.
