Tech giants across the globe all appear to be in the gaming mindset right now and Facebook is no exception to the rule. The site claims that each month, more than 700 million people on the social network watch gaming videos, play games, or engage with game-related content.

Facebook says it wants to make it easier for people to find and connect around their favourite games, streamers, groups, and more. As such, it’s rolling out a dedicated Facebook Gaming tab that people can use to access more gaming related content.

The tab is part of Facebook’s recent design update, designed to ‘provide personalised shortcuts’ for people to easily access communities and content they interact with most.

The main feature of the Facebook Gaming tab is a specially curated feed that allows users to easily find content that appeals to them.

Other features include playing games, watching gaming videos, and connecting with gaming groups, all inside the tab.

The new Facebook Gaming feature will be rolled out to a select group of people who have previously expressed an interest in gaming before being expanded to larger groups. Users who can’t find the tab on their main navigation bar can find it by looking in the Bookmarks menu.

Facebook is also continuing beta tests for a standalone Facebook Gaming app on Android. The Facebook Gaming app includes more features than the tab. Android users can check out the app here.
