Brad Rossetti, head of the Preview Program at Xbox, has announced that the Xbox One fall update preview is rolling out to Insiders in the Delta and Omega rings. Previously only those in the Alpha and Beta rings had access to this preview build.
A ton of new features are arriving with this preview including Microsoft’s Fluent Design system on the Xbox dashboard. Players can customize their Home page by pinning whatever they want to it to create blocks of content that can be moved around. The Home page will also be tailored just for you as posts will be suggested depending on what you pin. For example, pinning a certain game may provide a shortcut to the Game Hub for that title or an Activity Feed post from the developer. Other notable additions mark the return of Avatars on Home and a new light theme for your system.
Some known issues that the team is still working on include problems with Tournaments and Netflix when the console language is set to Hebrew or Arabic. Fixes should be available soon.
If the update is available to you, launch the Guide and go to All Settings > System > Updates to manually begin the update. There is no word when the fall update will arrive for all users, but seeing as it’s been rolling out to more and more people lately through the Insider Program, we should expect it soon.
