Phone Link for iPhone

Microsoft keeps adding new features here and there for Phone Link, its PC-to-phone integration tool on Windows. And now, Windows Insiders can try these features for their iPhones.

So now, just like for Android phones, iPhone users can see their battery and connectivity status, and also see messages and calls directly from the Start menu.

And now, on both Android and iPhones, you can easily share files between the phone and Windows PC via the Start menu and select “Send files” to transfer content a lot easier.

The features are now live for Windows Insiders with the KB5050103 or KB5050105 updates, both on Beta and Dev channels. And you’ll also need Phone Link v. 1.24121.30.0 or higher and have your Bluetooth LE-featuring PC signed in with a Microsoft account.

Microsoft opened up its Phone Link app for iPhone users way back in 2023, but it was limited at first. At its launch, you could sync your iPhone devices with Windows PCs, receive notifications, make calls, send messages, and access contacts directly from your PC.

Last year, the Redmond tech giant also expanded its Phone Link feature on Windows 11 by promising to add iPhone support to the app’s Start menu “companion.” And it seems like they’ve now delivered.

Microsoft started working on the Phone Link’s Start menu companion for quite some time. Back in October 2024, the company updated it to include the “Send ot phone” option and access to phone data like battery status, messages, calls, and photos.
