Windows Phone apparently had a lot of product placement in House of Cards 3

Microsoft and Windows Phone is no stranger to product placements, so it comes as not much of a surprise to see a Nokia Lumia 520 show up in the recent release of the new season of House of Cards, where it was given as an emergency phone to one of the characters.

For Android and Apple-loving users it did take them somewhat out of the reality of the universe, going by all the complaints I saw on twitter, but I think a $39 phone is a rather perfect cubbyhole phone.

Just a pity the handset, despite the longing close-up, looked so bland.  Would some live tile wallpaper have been too much to ask?
