Microsoft and Qualcomm are collaborating to launch the next iteration of Windows on ARM PCs, powered by Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon X Series processors. This launch is happening today, on May 20th, 2024, alongside a potential update to the default wallpaper for Windows 11.

Leaked information reveals a new default wallpaper design named “Bloom” may be included in the update. High-resolution versions of this wallpaper are available for download even before the official announcement.

In addition to the wallpaper change, rumors have surfaced regarding the development of AI-powered features for Windows 11 wallpapers. These features could potentially create depth effects and make the background respond to cursor movement. However, it is important to note that Microsoft has not officially confirmed this functionality.

The upcoming May 20th event will focus on showcasing the next generation of AI experiences and functionalities for Windows 11. Microsoft is also expected to announce consumer versions of the Surface Pro 10 and Surface Laptop 6, both equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon X processors. These announcements highlight Microsoft’s continued commitment to the Windows on ARM platform.

While the leaked information provides some insights, official details regarding the upcoming Windows 11 update will likely be revealed during Microsoft’s event today.
