Wakie is a unique app for the hard of waking, which will help you wake up with a one on one phone call from a member of the opposite gender.

The app, which seems to be combining dating and waking, lets you choose to select a wake-up call from a random fellow Wakie member of around the same age and opposite sex, which is apparently guaranteed to get your blood flowing.

The calls just last 60 seconds, meaning no awkward goodbyes, no long conversations—calls are quick and casual. You can also choose to wake someone up yourself.

Numbers are kept private, and users are able to rate callers, meaning creepy callers will be weeded our rather rapidly.

imageThe free service has more than 1.5 million users and has made more than 30 million calls.  It is available Canada, UK, USA, Singapore and Hong Kong, and no iOS version has been released yet.
