The Witcher 3: Complete Edition was announced for Nintendo Switch last night, but just how good does it look on the portable device?

Answering a fan’s question on Twitter, developer CD Projekt RED, the minds behind the Keanu-fuelled Cyberpunk 2077 adaptation, the graphical capabilities of the portable port appear quite reasonable.

Docked into your TV, the Switch port of The Witcher 3: Complete Edition will aim for 720p. With dynamic resolution in place just in case, it’s not an unreasonable resolution for a title which runs at just 900p on base Xbox One.

For those interested in portable play, The Witcher 3 will run at 540p. With lower GPU clock speeds during portable play, this lower resolution isn’t too bad! With a 720p screen, 540p should look fantastic for the open-world title.

As the first title on Switch to utilize the 32GB cartridge, The Witcher 3 is proving the power of Nintendo’s handheld. It’s a dream port, much like Mortal Kombat 11, and it makes us excited for future third-party Switch titles in the future.

What games would you like to see ported to the Nintendo Switch? Are you excited to play the Witcher on Switch? What are your thoughts on The Switcher?
