Because Fallout 76 is a new venture for Bethesda Game Studios as it’s a multiplayer title, the company announced at E3 that a beta would be held prior to its release. Dubbed the Break-it Early Test Application (B.E.T.A.), this is a way for Bethesda to fully prepare themselves for its launch on dedicated servers. According to the beta’s FAQ, it is coming to Xbox One before other platforms.

“The B.E.T.A. will be available on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and on PC (via Bethesda.net). Stay tuned for exact timing for each platform here and @Fallout on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. Please note that the B.E.T.A. for Xbox One will begin first, followed by other platforms.”

In order to access the B.E.T.A. you’ll need to pre-order Fallout 76, which you can do here. It is unknown when the B.E.T.A. is expected to take place or how long Xbox One users will have early access to it.

Fallout 76 launches on November 14, 2018 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
