One of the cool features of music streaming service Spotify is that they have an app for nearly every platform, including a web app at Open.Spotify.Com.
Unfortunately, the web app has just a shadow of the features of the desktop app, meaning while it may be OK for dipping into your tracks at work, the best experience is still the desktop app.
It seems Spotify may finally be looking to address this gap, with some improvement being in the works according to reverse engineer Jane Manchun Wong.

She discovered that the Spotify Web Player is testing to bring playlists to the sidebar, making the layout closer to the desktop version.
Hopefully, this is just the start of the improvements, and like Slack and Teams, for example, we will eventually have full functionality no matter which platform we use.
