Microsoft’s streaming service Mixer has received a new update on mobile platforms.

This new update introduces event push notifications that will notify users when limited-time events are taking place. This update comes just in time for E3, a huge event where Microsoft usually gives away freebies for Mixer users.

According to OnMSFT, the Mixer app will also be updated with a new audio quality settings option. This should be a great addition for anyone hoping to save on mobile data without sacrificing video quality.

For all of the new features in this new Mixer update, check out the patch notes below.

  • Notifications for Events and more!

  • Signed in users may start getting relevant notifications around events on Mixer, or limited timed events for games.

  • You van customise your profile at any time by going to Profile>Settings Gear> Notifications

  • Coming soon: Auto quality selection on videos!

  • We’ll be kicking off tests presenting auto quality selection on videos starting with this update. Over time we will roll this out to more users.
