Yesterday Microsoft announced a long list of updates for Microsoft Teams. The update included privacy-focused features and improvements to the overall app. Microsoft also shared that Teams is the fastest growing business app made by Microsoft to date.

One of the features that drew a lot of attention from the crowd yesterday was the blur background option. The feature will allow users to blur the background while taking video calls to avoid distractions. Microsoft also shared a video shortly after day 1 of Ignite was over to showcase the feature. Microsoft has taken the bokeh mode and converted it into a productivity feature which can help organizations. The background blur option along with other features of Teams will roll out to the app by the end of the year.
