We have covered Microsoft’s add-ons website in the past but previously it was called Insider Add-ons website denoting the obvious fact that it was in development. However, at Ignite 2019, Microsoft confirmed that Chromium-based Edge will be rolling out to Windows 10 users on January 15, 2020.
In preparation for the official launch, Microsoft has dropped “Insider” from the add-ons website and has made it available to the public. As of now, the Add-ons website has 162 extensions divided into Accessibility, Blogging, Developer Tools, Entertainment, News & Weather, Photos, Productivity, Search Tools, Shopping and Social. Microsoft has also added a search bar to the website for easier navigation and has re-arranged some of the extensions like adblockers and shopping tools.
With just a month left, Microsoft is hard at work to refine Chromium-based Edge and ensure that the users will have a smooth experience. In the meantime, you can check out the Microsoft Edge Add-ons website here (via Techdows).
