Last week, we reported that Microsoft is working on a huge new update for its Arrow Launcher app on Android. Today, the company has officially announced the update and it’s now rolling out to all Arrow Launcher users with the new feature. With the release of Arrow Launcher 3.0, Microsoft is adding a couple of new features — the main feature is the new Utility page which lets users quickly access what matters the most to them. For example, the Utility page gives users quick access to their frequent apps and contacts.

In addition to the new features, Arrow Launcher 3.0 also comes with a lot of performance improvements — according to Microsoft, the launcher is now 10% faster, uses 15% less battery and 15% less memory which are some significant improvements. Here are some of the other additions:

  • Ability to select VERTICAL or HORIZONTAL scrolling for apps page.
  • Brand-new utility page. Pin utility “cards” as individual pages, or customize to your heart’s content.
  • Small changes to “Backup & Restore” feature.
  • Bug fixes.
