Microsoft’s custom Android launcher, Arrow Launcher, is set to get a massive update soon. The software giant has been testing a new version of Arrow Launcher with a group of beta testers recently, and it’s set to arrive for the public pretty soon. According to Microsoft, version 3.0 of Arrow Launcher is the app’s biggest release yet, adding two major new features.

One of the biggest new features that are coming with 3.0 is the new Utility page. The Utility page gives you access to some of the most important content on your phone instantly, just with a swipe. When you swipe to the left, you will see different “cards” in the Utility page which gives you easy and quick access to some of the most important things on your phone. For instance, it’ll have a list of your frequent apps and it’ll also let you easily call your frequent contacts. There’s also a neat little Reminders card that you can use as a to-do list right from the UItility page.

At the moment, the Utility page only lets users add the preset cards — but when and if Microsoft adds the ability to add normal Android widgets to the Utility page, this feature can turn out to be much more useful in the near-future.

Microsoft is also adding a new option to the launcher which will let users choose between vertical or horizontal scrolling for the main apps page, which is another neat customization feature in the launcher.

The 3.0 update for Arrow Launcher is quite interesting, to say the least — it only adds one major feature, but Microsoft claims it’s the biggest update so far. The latest update for Arrow Launcher will be available soon to all users, but if you want to try it out right now, you can get into the beta program for Arrow Launcher here.
