On May 20, 2025, during the Google I/O keynote, the company introduced major updates to its Gemini AI platform. The highlight was the launch of Gemini 2.5 Pro, featuring ‘Deep Think’—an advanced reasoning mode designed to tackle complex problems by evaluating multiple hypotheses before responding. This enhancement aims to improve performance in coding, mathematics, and multimodal tasks.
Google also rolled out Gemini 2.5 Flash, optimized for speed and efficiency, now available in the Gemini app and set for general availability in early June. Additionally, Gemini Live now supports real-time camera and screen sharing on iOS devices, expanding its reach beyond Android.
