Are you looking for a detailed FoneLab Android Data Recovery review? I tested the tool first-hand to give you all you need to know about its features, pricing, use cases, and more.
FoneLab Android Data Recovery lets you recover, back up, restore, and extract data from your Android Phone. It also holds an impressive 4.9/5 score across user review websites.
But is it really that good? Let’s find out
Features
I tested FoneLab Android Data Recovery‘s main features to show you how they perform:
Android Data Recovery
This feature can help you recover lost data on your Android phone. This includes contacts, messages, photos, documents, WhatsApp files, and more.
At first, the tool didn’t detect my Android device after connecting it to my PC. So, I tapped on Device connected, but canโt be recognized? Get more help.
My connection was successful after following the prompts provided by the app. I wanted to recover my contacts so I picked Contacts and tapped Next.
Then, you need to allow the app to access your contacts and wait for it to complete the process. After a few seconds, I recovered every contact I had lost including ones missing from over 5 years ago.
Android Data Backup and Restore
This data recovery software will allow you to back up and restore your mobile phone content.
When you select Device Data Backup, you can choose the files you want to backup. Thereโs also an option to encrypt the backup and set up a password.
It took less than 5 minutes to back up all the file types I selected – around 250 MB of data.
I also tried the one-click backup option, which added all file types on my device to the restore point.
This time, the app took around 45 minutes to back up 2.35 GB of data.
After that’s done, you can restore your data whenever you choose. The tool lets you restore all files at once or pick only the types you need currently.
It took a few seconds to restore nearly 300 images.
Broken Android Data Extraction
FoneLab Android Data Recovery can also help you recover data from a device with a broken, black, or non-responsive screen where you can’t use your password.
However, this feature can only support Samsung devices at the moment.
Youโll be required to select your device name and model before you proceed. If your model isnโt listed, tap on No my device in the list and you’ll be able to add it manually.
You can also select the issue you’re experiencing with your Samsung phone. Unfortunately, I couldnโt proceed because I operate a Techno Android phone. FoneLab Android Data should improve on this feature by adding other models too.
Interface
FoneLab Android Data Recovery’s interface is simple with three main features on the home screen.
Each is labeled and has a short description. Once you pick one of them, you’ll see detailed instructions on how to proceed.
The app is easy to install, and it took less than 5 minutes to set it up.
Finally, you get a handy More section where you can download additional tools like FoneLab iOS System Recovery, FoneEraser, Screen Recorder, and more.
Customer Support
The FoneLab Android Data Recovery app has a feedback button where you can raise an issue. You add your email address then write about the problem you’re facing or any recommendation.
If the app has crashed or displayed an error, you can also attach log and database files, so the support team can quickly see what the issue is.
After submitting a ticket, I received a reply within one hour. The problem was also quickly resolved.
Unfortunately, the platform lacks live chat and phone support options, so you can’t get help for urgent issues right away.
Pricing
FoneLab Android Data Recovery has three subscription packages:
- 1 Month License – $14.95 – Supports 6 devices on 1 PC.
- Lifetime License – $44.76 – 6 devices on 1 PC, one-time purchase.
- 3PCs/Lifetime License – $79.94 – You get to service up to 6 devices on 3 PCs, one-time purchase.
All these packages offer the same features, so picking the right one depends on how long you want to use the software.
Additionally, you get a limited free version to see if you like the software.
While the website advertises a 30-day money-back guarantee, there’s a lengthy page explaining all the cases where a refund won’t be approved. So, I suggest thoroughly testing the free version before committing.

Fonelab Android Data Recovery – Verdict
This software is good. It has a beginner-friendly interface, and itโs easy to recover, backup, restore, and extract data from Android devices.
However, the free version can only scan and preview the data without retrieving it. Also, extracting files from a broken device only works on Samsung models.
Nonetheless, the tool does its job well. It also works fast, so if you need a reliable data recovery tool, you can definitely go for it.
