Microsoft is currently testing a new feature for Copilot within Microsoft Edge for Android. The feature, spotted in the Canary version of the browser, appears to be related to file sharing with Copilot for further analysis, most probably, as the icon is only visible yet but doesn’t work yet.

Details are limited at this time. However, an “Add a file” button shows users that they may soon be able to share files with Copilot through the given ‘clip’ icon. Earlier, there was no way to share files with Copilot in Microsoft Edge on Android. It was first seen on X.

This functionality could resemble the capabilities already available in the Windows version of Copilot, where users can share documents within the chat window for analysis, including PDFs.

This feature is currently in the testing phase within the Canary version, which is intended for developers and early adopters. This means the feature might not be fully functional yet and could undergo changes before a wider release.

If implemented, this file-sharing capability with Copilot could enhance file sharing with Copilot for further analysis.
