Borderlands 3 Xbox One download size revealed

Borderlands 3 may be a large open-world RPG with bazillions of in-game weaponry, but the Borderlands 3 download size is surprisingly relaxed.

Revealed through the Xbox Store, the game’s total download size isn’t too large for what should be an absolutely colossal game. With games like Halo 5, Gears of War 4, Red Dead Redemption 2 and Quantum Break taking up well over 100GB in size, and titles like Final Fantasy 7 and Cyberpunk 2077 sneaking up on your hard drive, Gearbox’s shooter looks to know what compression is.

Weighing in at just 39.98GB on Xbox One consoles, the Borderlands 3 download size is definitely a relief for gamers without a massive amount of external storage. With the game already confirmed to have large expansion packs like in Borderlands 2, that download size will undoubtedly balloon by the time Gearbox is finished with post-launch support.

The game’s total file size should be fairly similar for PlayStation 4, but we should expect the PC version to be a tad larger. With higher quality assets, denuvo DRM and more, the Epic Store exclusive will probably take up a bit more size on your hard drive.
