We have recently heard that the new generation of Nokia Lumias (520, 602 and 720) would be getting the Bluetooth 4.0 update as part of the Nokia Amber update, and we have seen Nokia’s Bluetooth 4.0 driver passing through the Bluetooth SIG.

Now the Verge claims, from “sources familiar with Nokia’s plans” that the update will in fact be coming to Nokia’s full Windows Phone 8 range, including the older Nokia Lumia 820 and 920 handsets.

The news should reassure the mass of 920 users who have been hoping to use their handset with accessories like the Fitbit when software for those gadgets become available.

Presumably with the update will also soon be coming to Nokia’s latest greatest handset also, as the Nokia Lumia 1020 still ships with only Bluetooth 3.0 support.
