Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night not only has a solid release date, but also an announcement of a visual overhaul!

Starting life as a Kickstarted successor to Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, Bloodstained has come a long way in the past four years. While we’ve seen many proposed released dates since its 2015 reveal, the game will finally be launching this June.

PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One owners will be able to play Bloodstained on June 18th whereas Switch owners can play on June 25th. Retail copies of the game will be available on June 21st for PC, Xbox One and PS4 with Switch copies going live on June 28th.

Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night has seen some criticism in recent showings due to its rough-looking graphics. Developer IGA has seen the complaints and has given the game a massive overhaul in visual design. The new boosted graphics look brighter, livelier and more detailed.

After four years in the oven, will Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night be the next Kickstarter darling? Or will it be the next Mighty No. 9? It won’t be long until we find out…  but it’s probably the former.
