We’ve known ever since Microsoft’s acquisition that developer Ninja Theory was working on something new. It’s now been revealed: Bleeding Edge, a 4v4 multiplayer title for Xbox One and PC.

Below is the full trailer, complete with huge text saying “confidential”. It looks pretty great, echoing last-gen’s fantastic Anarchy Reigns. While it must be a huge blow to the team over at Ninja Theory, their game does look rather fantastic.

Judging from the trailer, it would appear this was meant to be a huge E3 moment. Bleeding Edge’s Technical Alpha is slated to start on June 27th, just a couple of weeks after Xbox’s conference. This would have been a huge moment, a hype-fuelled announcement in the vein of “and it’s out right now!”.

After the fantastic narrative experience of Hellblade, out now on Xbox Game Pass and Nintendo Switch, a multiplayer title may be divisive. In our opinion? It looks absolutely ace. We’re looking forward to it.

Bleeding Edge should be announced tomorrow at Microsoft’s Xbox E3 2019 press conference. Microsoft promises to “go big” with this showing, sending off the Xbox One.
