imageIt is news to me, but apparently French Samsung Omnia 7 owners have been suffering multiple bugs with their devices, which include “blanks while in conversation, inability to surf the Internet with 3G, random switch from portrait mode to landscape mode, etc”, to such a degree that a petition with more than 100 signatures were raised by Monsmartphone and delivered to Samsung France.

The company has now responded, saying :

Next available update in the coming weeks will fix most of users problems and will also allow to get Mango

The update is likely a firmware update just like the ones released for a variety of other Windows Phones already, but this is the first time we have heard it being a prerequisite for the Mango update.

Interestingly however it could mean the Mango update is somewhat closer, given that the only delay now is firmware integration by the OEMs, with the OS already RTMed.

Are there really widespread issues with the Samsung Omnia 7? Let us know below.
