Amazon yesterday announced a new feature called StyleSnap that will allow consumers to use a photo or screenshot to shop for their favorite fashion items. We have seen similar feature on Bing Image search and Google search in the past.
To use this new feature, customer has to click the camera icon in the upper right hand corner of the Amazon App, and select the “StyleSnap” option; they can either upload a photograph or screenshot of a fashion they want. Using AI, after by considering a variety of factors such as brand, price range, and customer reviews, StyleSnap will display recommendations for similar items on Amazon that match the look in the photo.
