Back in June, Microsoft launched the new Bing Visual Search experience. It allowed users to search for a certain object that is present in an internet image. For example, if they come across a photo of a room with a furniture on the web, users can select a particular furniture present in the image and get more information about it from Bing. Bing also displays related furniture items for users.

With the recent update, Bing team has taken this feature one step further. Instead of requiring manual selection of an object from the user, Bing now automatically recognizes objects and selects them for you. Using this users can browse for similar-looking results in Related Products and Related Images. Check out the demo of this feature in the video above.

Another update to visual search experience is the ability to recognize public figures. When you’re doing image search of celebrities or other popular people, Bing will recognise them and will display a box around their face. When users click the box, Bing will display the individual’s name.
