Y Combinator’s Spring Demo Day spotlighted AI agents built for real-world jobs, not hype. Out of 144 startups, ten teams stood out by automating tasks people dread, from phone support to tax filing. With working demos and fast product cycles, these founders showed how their bots can get the job done.

Aegis came in with an aggressive goal: to help hospitals recover denied insurance claims. Its software writes, files, and manages appeals without a human. Airweave’s team built a workplace AI that answers internal questions by searching across Notion, Slack, and internal docs, cutting time wasted digging for info.

Approval AI’s mortgage co-pilot handles rate comparisons, lender back-and-forth, and document prep. Atlog trains voice agents that answer phones and close sales for e-commerce stores. Beluga Labs helps content creators track income and catch tax breaks automatically.
