Microsoft is rolling out a new update for the Xbox One Preview tonight. Just yesterday, the company released Build 14393.1008 for Xbox One Preview members with a number of bug fixes and today, the company is releasing rs1_xbox_rel_1608.160721-1913 for the Xbox One with more improvements. Just like most of the recent Xbox One Preview updates, the latest update does not include any new features and it only comes with some bug fixes which are listed below:
- My Games & Apps – Resolved an issue which could cause certain universal apps (Movies & TV) and updates to get stuck in the queue. Additionally, the user’s selected background color should now be applied to game and app tiles appearing in Updates and Ready to install.
- Cortana – Resolved an issue which caused certain phrases like “Hey Cortana play music”, “Hey Cortana launch videos” to return an error rather than launch Groove Music or Movies & TV. • The build also contains a fix to address Cortana failing to launch certain games and apps.
- Blu-Ray Player – You should no longer encounter “Installation Stopped” errors when attempting to download or update the Blu-Ray Player app.
As per usual, the latest build includes some known issues — however, the known issues are the same as the previous build (14393.1008), and you can find them here. If you are an Xbox One Preview member, you can get the latest update for your Xbox One by heading over to All Settings > System > Console info & updates. If the update isn’t available yet, just check back in a few hours and it should be available to download on your Xbox One.
