You can now stream Xbox Series X|S or Xbox One games directly to Discord

Last year, Microsoft announced integration of Discord in Xbox consoles that allowed gamers to chat with anyone on Discord via voice channels or group calls directly from their consoles. Also, gamers were able to adjust the sound and switch between Discord Voice and Xbox game chat while they play their games.

Starting today, Microsoft is taking the Discord integration to the next level. The ability to stream directly to Discord is coming to Xbox. This was one of the most requested features. Through this integration, Xbox players can stream their Xbox Series X|S or Xbox One games directly to Discord.

To use this feature, you should connect your Xbox account to Discord. If you’ve already connected your Xbox account to use Discord Voice chat on your console, then you are ready to go.

There are two ways to stream your content to Discord:

1. Stream from Your Xbox to a Discord Server: When you open the Parties & Chats tab on your Xbox Series X|S or Xbox One, select Discord, then scroll to one of your available servers and join a Voice channel. You’ll be placed in that community’s Voice channel. Select “Stream your game” to start game streaming. Discord Nitro members can Stream to Discord in HD quality, up to 1080p and increased framerates.
2. Stream from your Xbox to a Discord DM or Group DM: Join a DM call on desktop or mobile, then use the “Transfer to Xbox” button to move your DM conversation to your Xbox Series X|S or Xbox One. Once moved over, the “Stream your game” option will appear in the Xbox guide, just like if you were in a server call.
