Xbox Game Pass Closes May with Metaphor: ReFantazio and More

On May 21, 2025, Microsoft confirmed the second wave of Xbox Game Pass titles for May. The biggest name is Metaphor: ReFantazio, Atlus’ new RPG dropping on May 29. It leads a lineup that mixes strategy, survival, and offbeat stories.

Kicking things off, Monster Train 2 arrived May 21, bringing roguelike deck-building to players steering a train through heaven and hell. On May 22, three more games hit: Creatures of Ava (creature-saving action), S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 (gritty survival horror), and Tales of Kenzera: Zau (Metroidvania-style platforming).

Ubisoft’s The Division 2 joins on May 27, giving subscribers a solid co-op tactical shooter. To a T, a quirky game from the creator of Katamari Damacy, lands on May 28. It follows a teen stuck in a T-pose, because why not?May 29 also adds Spray Paint Simulator, which lets players build a graffiti business. Crypt Custodian and Symphonia wrap the list on June 3.

Five games will leave Game Pass on May 31, including Cassette Beasts and Remnant 2. Microsoft is offering discounts for subscribers who want to keep them.
