WrestleQuest release date has just been pushed back to another week. Skybound Entertainment, the game’s publisher, says that the new release date is now August 22, and will no longer be due out on August 8 as previously announced.
We are truly proud of this game and believe that we have a product that delivers on all counts. We’re blown away by the support we’ve seen from players excited for WrestleQuest,” says the developer in a tweet.
The reason? Well, the delay is due to the discovery of a bug that could cause players to lose their save game progress when playing on multiple devices – a major setback for Skybound and Mega Cat Studios as they’re gearing up for ambitious release on almost all platforms including PS5 and PS4, Xbox Series and Xbox One, Switch, PC via Steam, and mobile via Netflix.
“Because this is a game filled with hours of content and player progress is so important, we could never bodyslam our fans like that,” the statement reads.
WrestleQuest is a humorous take on turn-based RPGs and wrestling. Players create their own wrestlers and journey through a variety of wrestling-themed worlds, battling opponents and completing quests. The game features a large cast of characters, including both real and fictional wrestlers.
WrestleQuest is currently out for demo on Steam and is available to be added to your wishlist.
