Windows Phone 8.1 Shared Platform

In the past few days, we saw lots of information about the upcoming Windows Phone 8.1 platform. Apart from the consumer features leaked, we came to know about Microsoft’s plan for universal apps that can run across Windows devices starting from 4-inch mobile device to 27-inch All-in-one. Windows Blue will offer converged developer platform and app model that will share identities as well. Windows Blue will include some significant platform improvements such as,

  • Live Tiles Improvements.
  • Background execution+triggers
  • People hub extensibility for social apps
  • Bluetooth LE support
  • IE11 improvements
