Windows 10 may not be reaching 1 billion users anytime soon, but it is getting closer to that number by the day.

Windows 10 has now hit 600 million active users, including PCS, phones and Xbox devices. This number comes from the Microsoft CEO who shared this tidbit at the shareholders meeting (via Geekwire.)

Microsoft has been slow in delivering updates on the growth of Windows 10, with the last number revealing an active user base of 500 million.

Microsoft no longer expects Windows 10 to reach 1 billion users, an ambitious goal in the first place, the firm is instead focusing on building out the Universal Windows Platform and making classic PC computing exciting again after failing in the mobile world.
