Whatsapp Beta for Android introduces dark mode preview widget

At the beginning of this month, we reported that Whatsapp is developing its dark theme for Android devices.

Ahead of its full release, the company are easing us into the night blue dark mode by introducing it to the preview widget.

The preview widget allows you to preview new messages in full, while still remaining elusive.  Here’s a comparison of the light and dark modes:

While it’ll certainly protect your eyes from damage, many still consider the design to be quite the eyesore.
