  • Arc browser, dubbed “the future of browsing,” arrives on Windows 11

  • Developed with Swift, Arc aims to become an “operating system for the internet.”

Arc browser has been the talk of the town for quite some time. The browser is often deemed as “the future of browsing,” and it’s not even exaggerating. The Swift-developed browser has a clean UI and better tab management than its competitors, like Google Chrome and Edge.

The popular browser first arrived on Mac devices globally last year and opened waitlists for its Windows version. But now, according to a recent announcement, you can easily download Arc browser for Windows 11.

But what makes Arc browser—especially for Windows 11—so special? Built on Chromium, Arc is actually a fresh breath of air especially if you’re tired of Google Chrome. It offers a sidebar instead of traditional tabs (although this very same feature is also available on Edge, called vertical tabs) and lets you declutter your browsing experience however you like.

But it can take a while to get adjusted to. You can also add a split on the right or the left side of your screen, a similar feature to Microsoft Edge, add extensions from the Chrome web store, and import your browsing data from other browsers.

Arc’s release on Windows, developed with Swift programming language, signals a broader vision of becoming an “operating system for the internet,” with plans to match features with its macOS counterpart through weekly updates. The Windows version follows the Fluent design language of Windows 11 and integrates with Arc Search for cross-platform synchronization.

You can download the Arc browser on Windows 11 here. And, maybe, see it for yourself. The Browser Company, the tech maker behind the browser, also promised that a Windows 10 version will also arrive.
