Qualcomm Snapdragon

Qualcomm currently has several flagship processors. The Snapdragon 855 is the processor for high-end smartphones while the Snapdragon 855 Plus is the processor for high-end gaming focused smartphones. Qualcomm also has Snapdragon 8cx processor for Windows laptops. While all of them are great, they fall behind Apple’s A12 processor in terms of performance. Recently, benchmarks of Qualcomm’s upcoming Snapdragon 865 processor was spotted online.

As you can see from the image above, the Snapdragon 865 has secured a multi-core score of 12,915 which beats every other phone so far including the Apple iPhone XS Max. This benchmark was ran on a device with 6GB of RAM with base frequency of 1.8 GHz. We expect the final version of the processor to run at much higher frequency resulting in even better performance.

Can Qualcomm finally catch up to Apple in processor performance? We will come to know in December this year.
